Learning Spaces

hosted by:
Australian National University in Canberra

This event delved into innovative approaches to learning spaces, providing valuable insights to enhance design for teaching strategies and boost learner engagement.

Learning spaces were explored as environments designed to facilitate and enhance active, collaborative, and authentic educational experiences, both formal and informal. These spaces were adaptable, meeting the contemporary needs of users at any given time. They also prioritized inclusivity and accessibility, equipped with versatile teaching tools and technologies. Connected environments that integrated physical and virtual spaces fostered critical thinking and encouraged the exchange of creative ideas. These spaces were regularly evaluated and assessed based on their usage, guiding ongoing institutional learning and continuous improvement. Managed within a sustainable framework, they were able to evolve alongside the organization’s changing needs.

The workshop featured engaging discussions, panels, and presentations, all based on real-world examples.
